GVHS owns and operates 12 properties with affordable market rental units in the Greater Victoria area. These buildings offer studio, 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom units.
These affordable rental units are suitable for low to moderate income earners and their families.
Tenants selected for this type of housing must meet selection criteria which varies by building and operating agreement.
To qualify for affordable housing, a household must fall within a specific income bracket. Usually, the minimum gross monthly income needs to be at least 35% of rent.
Example: If rent is $1,500/ 35%= $4,285. Minimum gross monthly income equals $4,285. Maximum gross monthly income is based on various operating agreements that the buildings fall under.
All our buildings are no-pets and no smoking.
All tenants need to meet Canadian Residency Status and are required to be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents or have Refugee Status.
