Moses Mukasa is an unsettled settler currently residing and working on the unceded lands of the Coast Salish people. Originally from Uganda, his commitment to social change was inspired by witnessing local crises and inequalities. With degrees in Economics from Makerere University and Public Administration from the University of Victoria, he combines economic insight with public and charitable sector expertise.
Moses is a dedicated fundraiser, adept connector, and proactive changemaker with a focus on strategic philanthropy, collaborative partnerships, and systems change thinking. Currently, as the Director of Donor Services at the Vancouver Foundation, he leads efforts to promote trust-based philanthropy and supports charitable organizations pioneering new initiatives and innovations that create equitable and meaningful impact at a community level. He is also a Certified Fund Raising Executive and actively engages with various organizations and boards, including Arkomark Solutions, to drive innovation and sustainability.
Moses joined the GVHS to leverage his extensive experience and passion for social and community development, helping to steer the organization toward its vision. His career is marked by strategic leadership and a dedication to creating lasting impacts on communities locally, nationally, and worldwide.
Moses enjoys time with his incredible partner, Kate and two wonderful children as well as gardening, world travel, hot yoga, beer, F1, tennis, rugby, and basketball.
